Seif 1One should eat fruits and desserts on Shabbos in order to make extra Brachos to complete the hundred Brachos that a person should say daily. This is because we are missing several Brachos that we would normally say on weekdays since there are less Brachos in the Shabbos Shemona Esrai. |

Seif 2 (Contd.)If there is no wine now, but some wine is expected later, the Magen Avraham says to wait until midnight (Chatzos) since it may come by then. The Chaya Adam says if the person is physically weak, he does not need to wait. But there is no need to wait until the next morning to make Kiddush until noon (Chatzos) , therefore the Brocha Hamoitzie can be made right away. One may rely on the Raavad who says a person can eat before the daytime Kiddush. |
