New Series starting Friday |
|
Dear Readers, On Friday we will start Mesecta Sukka. The format will be that regular Gemara Rashi will be in regular font, while Tosfos will be in bold. That way, if you only want to read through the Gemara it will be easy to skip the bold. And when you want to, you can go over Tosfos afterwards. I wanted to put up a forum so people can discuss the Gemara, but it's impractical at the moment. But any questions, Ha'aros or the sort, please contact me at the "contact us." I would love feedback If you know someone who will benefit from this, please direct them to the learning. Rav Chaim |

|
Dear readers, I've got a new series of Shiurim ready to go. I will write the Gemara and Tosfos so that everyone can follow inside the Gemara and Tosfos afterwards. I will do a piece of gemara daily. It will be left up for 2 weeks from posting. I hope that you'll enjoy them. I will start Daf 2a next Friday, Feb. 12th. Hope to see you there. Rav Chaim |

SPLITTING THE MORNING MEAL IN TWO |
SEIF 3 If someone's morning meal stretches until Mincha time, he can split the meal in two in order to fulfill the Mitzvah of Shaalos Seudos. The Rosh explains that this it is advisable to do so, since if one were to eat a large meal, he might be too full to eat Shaalos Seudos at a later time. Rather, he should split up the meal and eat while he still has his appetite. (Sometimes a person can eat a large meal at one time, but waiting until later might ruin his appetite and he would be too full to eat another meal.) |
